HELL OF A NIGHT.

A worrisome hunger seized him,
A thirst that haunted his very being,
A perpetual nightmare that provoked his every endeavour,
Blinding his mind from any ounce of reason,
A silence that lulled him to sleep every night,
That relentlessly mocked the fact of his miserable wretched existence.
A glimpse into her life made angels weep,
Demons kept her company; consoled her whilst she consoled man,
She was a blip in the existential plane of life,
The night her cloak,
The thickly applied makeup her shroud,
Her, skimpily dressed with heels on, a sight to behold,
A spectacle that fueled his lust.
A shared look is all it took,
Her, a fisher of men,
Him, enchanted by her ministrations, biting the hook,
Her, an expert performer, the show she ran,
The dance began, bargains were had,
Then it was off to bed.
She comforted him as best as she could, in the only way she knew,
The physical exertions left them wasted, faded,
It was over before it began and on cloud nine he floated,
Her payment a clenched fist,
A blow to the gut, runny makeup and salty cheeks,
A changed script unlike the pleasurable beginning.
One hell of a night...
